I have been busy for a while... and still am, so this post will be short. I promise to respond on the various threads I was involved in before I took a break when I have more time.

If you could recommend one website, book, DVD, or video tape that would show what your art does, what would it be? When I ask this, I mean to find out "what they are up to," that is, what you practice, what kinds of techniques and principles are involved. I don't mean the best resource for the history or philosophy of the art or movie involving the art.

i'd probably go with kenponet.com.

it's got a great archive of techniques and forms.

and the forum is a good source of news and scuttlebutt. to our discredit, it also showcases the political nonsense and infighting within our art pretty clearly as well.

Any of the videos by Robert MacEwen would give you a good idea of what we do. I think they are available on ebay.

The foundation of the system I train in, study, and teach is available on the Karate Connection website. Check out the Videos page - it's the Preview video. Enjoy. :)
