I like aluminum trainers, but for sparring I like the Actionflex ones.

Aluminum trainers that I make for drills and coldsteel rubber trainers for sparring. If there is going to be alot of contact I either use the rubber knives, or use a bracer with the aluminum blades.

Aluminum and Wood for me, that is the best combo. Sometimes I will use rubber ones for throwing but that is about it. The cold steel ones are okay though. I also like the action-flex for harder sparring as well.
