Results with the FN 5.7?

Has anyone come across either balistic gel tests with the 5.7mm or results from actual shootings?

Based on what I've read, penetration isn't that good with current SS192 or SS190 loads, being less than 10 inches.

Basically, it's more of a varmit plinker.

Hey Jeff. Not sure if this will help much but have you tried Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballistic_gelatin)? Take a look here about 1/2 way down the page you will see some results. Click on Test of 5.7 x 28 mm and it will take you to another page.

Well, I've decided not to go with the FN 5.7. Looks like a fun toy though. Might pick one up at some point just to have fun with.

good call....like I mentioned, it would be a good 'specialty' weapon to keep in the event you need to defeat body armor, but I don't think I would carry one as my primary defensive gun.
