Does anyone know of a legit source of information on the hand-to-hand, melee weapon techniques used by Native Americans. I am doing a research paper and need some information. Any help would be great as I am having alot of trouble finding legit information.

It is hard to find accurate information, unfortunatily.

There was some good stuff posted. That's about it on this forum though (and probably most forums for that matter), as far as really useful information on Native arts...

Hello, Your local library should be one of the first places to search.
2nd Contact the Indian tribes (library may have addresses)..they may have someone who has research this before.
Let us know how you did when you are done and possible share some info's .....Aloha

That is good advice, really. I was thinking regarding this forum and not other sources. But I would have to agree with the above! :)

While you are researching "native american" styles, don't forget native Hawaiian martial arts and native Eskimo (Alaskan) styles.
Many forget that the Alaskan Eskimos and native Hawaiians are just as much native American as what we consider American Indians.
