Any thoughts on the Baretta 1201 fp shotgun.
Semi-auto with a five round +1 capacity

Good shotgun, basically a Benelli M1S inside (uses the same recoil action) at almost half the cost of the Benelli. I think they stopped making them though. My local gunshop had one and it was nice, I was considering it but the next time I went in it was gone!
Recoil is greater than a gas operated semi and I heard they seem to function better with stronger defense loads (may not function reliably with light target loads).
If you want one for home defense it would make a good gun. It is not really supported in the aftermarket (extension mag, etc). I was looking for a 3-gun competion gun at the time an the limited round count would have put me at a disadvantage. Class capacity is 8+1.
If you like the 1201 and don't mind its limitations, you might also want to take a look at Stoeger's M2000. it uses the same Benelli action.
