Dear Brothers and Sisters in Taekwon-Do,

I would like to invite you to the 2006 Colorado State Championship. This tournament is open to all Ch'ang-Hon patterns practitioners. The tournament will be March 11th, 2006 at Front Range Community College, in Westminster, Colorado. All individual competitors who register by the early registration due date (February 11th, 2006) will receive a free tournament T-Shirt.

This year we spent quite a lot of time working on all the suggestions you gave us last year to make the tournament bigger and better than ever. With 83 divisions of competition we know this year will be more fun than ever with: better timing of events, better rules, more competitors, and better prizes. We have the usual Taekwon-Do events but check out the new rules for HoSin-Sul and Breaking! And yes all ranks will be allowed to break. Color belts will be breaking 1" pine and Black belts will be breaking 1" pine and cement tiles. That’s something you don’t see at others tournaments.

Yes, the tournament has gotten so large that last year we spent an hour and a half just bracketting. When you have a lot of parents with kids you want to keep things moving.

So this year we plan on starting right on time

This is a reminder that the early registration deadline for the "2006 Colorado State Championship" is two weeks away. In order to receive a discount and a free T-Shirt the early registrations must be received by February 11th, 2006. All finial registrations must be received by March 3rd as there is NO registration at the door!


Besides the Masterline Pads for HoSin-Sul, and the Condensed Encyclopedias for Grand Champion, there will also be a floating trophy for top Team Pattern competition, and an award for school participation.


We already have 8 teams registered!


The HoSin-Sul has better rules, breaking is no longer dependent of size, and the schedule of events is better! And yes, all ranks will be allowed to break. (We are stocking up on wood and cement!)

By the pre-registration deadline we have had more people register this year than last . This will be big :)
