We got a message at work this morning that MicroSoft has left a security gap in IE that's so large that our IT dept. has disabled certain IE functions, including those used in shopping carts at places like Amazon, until it's patched. Anyone know what's up?

OK, thanks for the link Kaith.
I use FireFox when I can, but work is very particular about what software can be run on their machines.

Here too, I get cranky if I see anyone trying to use IE ;)
