sounds like it could be a good semimar but $75 for 4 hours seems high to me
I work at a low pay job and I think many others do also and I find that the prices asked for in many camps limits the participants to those with much better pay scales

Not trying to limit attendance by payscales, do need to cover the expense of the room, the instructors, postage for mailings, printing of paper flyers for the non computer literate.

The instructors need to get here and back, and make some money. Happy to show the books to anyone with questions. Last year I made enough to cover my dinner after the seminar and a tank of gas at 2004 prices

Equally happy to borrow a few thousand square feet of free space next year and I will reduce prices accordingly

Just a bump up for the seminar. Mention you saw the listing on Martial Talk and the preregistration price will be honored at the door

Reminds me of a reading I heard given by the poet Galway Kinnell many years ago. He started off by asking everyone who'd bought a book of poetry within the past month to raise their hands. After a few of us did so, he looked out at the audience and said, "The rest of you are cheap sons-of-bitches!"

The point is that what we really want, we find a way to get it. In this MA world -- as in poetry, academia, religion, anywhere, really -- mostly it is all just talk. And as an old friend told me, Talk is cheap. It takes money to buy liquor.

Pay the price or stay home.
