BIOGRAPHY OF MAESTRO LORIEGA:

Maestro Loriega is singularly responsible for heightening the awareness of the Navaja fighting methods among non-Hispanics in America. Although well known for his work with the traditional Ninja arts, his milestone publications, Sevillian Steel and translation of the 1849 text Manual del Baratero have revitalized interest nation-wide in the elegant folding clasp knife first developed in 17th century Spain. Maestro Loriega has trained extensively in Spain at the Escuela Sevillana de Armas Blancas under headmaster Don Santiago Rivera and has received certification as Maestro de Armes Blancas Sevillanas. His exhaustive research, technical demonstrations and workshops have led to his appointment and certification as a Master in the International Master of Arms Federation (IMAF).
