fencing

i want to try out fencing for a while. dont know anything about it, but does anyone here know where i would begin searching for info or instruction?

or ask at your local university (sport) or SCA (http://www.sca.org) chapter (non-sport).

For more historical fencing you might try some of the western martial arts groups that are popping up, though you will have to decide what type of "fencing" you mean, longsword, rapier, etc.

try www.thehaca.com for one example of an organization, and check the historical fencing forum and practice partner finder over on sword forums (www.swordforum.com).
