Is this just for black belts to participate in? That's the impression I got from Mr. Trejo's posting. If so I'm out, I'm only a brown belt.

I don't know for sure, I'll ask. I would think that the rank wouldn't matter considing it is a class. Usually black belt only events either say so up front or are not publicly advertised.

My wife and I are trying to figure a way to make it out there. She doesn't like to fly, never has, so the drive from here to there may take a bit of planning. Always good to have a crew of folks that jump up and say 'when?' with the mention of the words road trip.:)
