Good afternoon everyone,

I've taken a position in Dana Point, CA which is about 2000 miles from where I live now in Chattanooga, TN. Obviously, I have exactly zero idea about my new home, and need some advice on finding an MA studio out there.

I'm looking for something rather close (not "the sensei would be 4 hours away from you, but sooooo worth it"). My background is primarily in Chinese Martial Arts, but I've done some Kendo, Iaido, and basic Kali, BJJ, and general MMA.

So, I'd very much appreciate it if you SoCal types would help me out on this one.

It looks like a drive to anywhere out there.

That not withstanding, a drive into LA would net you...

Ng Fu Han ... Chan Family Choy Lay Fut (great grandson of Chan Heurng)
Bucksam Kong ... Hung Ga (http://www.bucksamkongkungfu.com/)
Sifu Kisu ... Bak Siu Lum (http://www.harmoniusfist.com/)

Isrepheal, instead of posting any links, I would recommend you open a phone book when you get to Dana point. You're fortunate in that the state of California has IMO, the highest number of good quality MA schools in the country. You'll be overwhelmed at the amount of good MA schools that you'll find, in basically any art you're interested in. Good luck with your search and your new job.
