The article was most likely talking about former governor Bob Wise. I know him, though not well. He's been in politics a long time.

He studied at the Kang Tae Kwon Do Academy. I remember that but I don't remember where it's located. Bob would be about 57 or 58 years old at this point. If I recall, he'd taken it for a long time, then was out for a while, and then resumed his training.

Good for him. I wonder if any other governors hold such a rank. It always surprises me how many ppl in West Virginia, being as isolated as we are. I do think that our difficult economic conditions, rugged lifestyle, and independent nature lend themselves well toward the sort of determination it takes to do well in martial arts. ... plus, we don't have to wear shoes. lol

Political opinions may differ on Mr. Wise. He's a good guy though. My grandfather had known him for a long time.
