Mixed Martial Arts Instructor Ande Roberts in conjunction with the guys from “Stevie B’s” gym in Birmingham, are planning an 12 hour weight lifting and sparring marathon in order to help the relief effort following the tsunami which obliterated parts of South East Asia over the Xmas period.

Gosport, Hampshire, UK, - Ultimate Fighting/Mixed Martial Arts promoter and owner of the Cagewarriors Fighting Championships Mr Dougie Truman was so inspired when hearing of this unique fund raising venture by Ande Roberts that he was determined to help. So as well as immediately pledging a £100 to this noble cause, Dougie Truman also promised to help raise money by utilizing his considerable global network in order to help promote this magnanimous cause.

Dougie Truman is also assisting in the fund raising effort by offering the usage of his credit card line to be used for donations. Those who take the time to donate to this noble and urgent cause via this credit card line will also be given a free Cagewarriors Mystery gift. (Credit Card donations are secure and all proceeds will be handed directly to Andrew Roberts)

This effort by Ande Roberts and the guys at “Stevie B’s” Gym has sparked a chain reaction from within the UK Ultimate Fighting/Mixed Martial Arts community as other groups within the scene are now also looking at setting up similar incentives, as they are as equally passionate (if not more) about helping those in need, as they are about their own sport.

Speaking today Dougie Truman was quoted as saying “I was so moved by this tremendous effort by people I have got to know within the UK MMA scene over the few years that I felt I had to do my bit to help. I hope by offering my credit card line for donations, it will go some way to help the relief effort for those in need.”

To pledge donations to this effort please call the special Credit Card helpline on +44 (0) 7881552525 and mention the Tsunami Relief fund.

If you wish to send a cheque please make it playable to UNICEF UK and send it to Ande Roberts at “Stevie B’s Gym” Unit B1 & A, off Station Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham, B27 6DN, UK. For any further details concerning this 12 hour Martial Arts Marathon please contact Ande Roberts on 0121 707 9609 or by e-mail at ukstorm@hotmail.com
