Tai-Kai Challenge Tournament Results

Results from The Tai-Kai Challenge Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling event. This is a Grappling tournament featuring Submission Grappling and Jiu-Jitsu students from all over North America.

(PRWEB) December 14, 2004 -- We really had a great time at the Tai-Kai Challenge and hope you did as well. 206 fighters battled it out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Wilmington, Delaware. Special thanks to all the Tai-Kai team members and the folks from New England that helped out judging, time keeping and working that day.

It was a pleasure not only seeing some of the Northeast schools make the trip to Delaware such as Team Tai-Kai, Auburn BJJ, JBA, NE Aikido, but also some new teams, Team Club Kozak traveled all the way from Montreal, Canada to fight (8 hour drive). Teams as far south as Virginia also made the trip like Trident Academy, even Lloyd Irving came to watch.

This is my abbreviated version of the event coverage and results. I have to write a full blown version for Full Contact Fighter, please send me any photos you think are worthy of print and I will submit them to the paper (Need them by the weekend).

And now for the results...

Best Match of the night (That I saw anyway) - Joe Scarola vs. Ken Paraham. In fact, every match in the Advance Middleweight no-gi was of a Superfight caliber, I can't wait to see these guys in December!
