NAPMA and MAIA to Host the 2005 Martial Arts SuperShow and World Conference

Midwest City, OK/Clearwater, FL - The National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA) and The Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA) have agreed to combine their respective annual conventions into one event. After many months of intense discussions, officials at both organizations have decided that it is in the best interest of the industry to have one unified event instead of two competing conferences. The combined mega-convention will be known as The Martial Arts SuperShow and World Conference. By joining forces, the industry's two largest associations will co-host what is expected to be the greatest martial arts business convention of all time.

Because professional associations are personality-driven, both NAPMA and MAIA have attracted loyal followings of members, supporters and content contributors. This is especially apparent, considering the talent roster featured at their respective conventions. In the past, many industry heavyweights contributed their genius to one association or the other. Consequently, convention-goers had to attend both shows to gain exposure to each organization's core talent and obtain and benefit from the unique information each offered. Now that the two conventions have merged, it will be more convenient and affordable for attendees of The Martial Arts SuperShow and World Conference to experience the best of both associations at a single event.

Rob Colasanti, NAPMA President said, "Since 1996, NAPMA hosted eight consecutive World Conferences. We consistently presented some of the sharpest business minds and celebrity instructors at one event. Indeed, the NAPMA World Conference took martial arts business conventions to the next level. By partnering with MAIA to combine our popular World Conference with their incredibly successful Martial Arts SuperShow, we've created a classic example of synergy, or the whole being greater that the sum of the parts. This is the best development for combined growth I've seen in our industry in a very long time."

Frank Silverman, MAIA's Executive Director, further explained, "Beginning with the 2005 Martial Arts SuperShow and World Conference, our guests can access the very best material that both MAIA and NAPMA have to offer. Our combined efforts are on target to deliver the most value-packed business convention in the history of the martial arts. We encourage members of both organizations as well as non-members to attend this industry extravaganza. It has been designed to help attendees build their business, train with the masters and leave with a fresh outlook on their chosen profession. It is truly exciting to see our two organizations, while still competing in the information marketplace, to co-host an event the likes of which our industry has never seen!"

The Martial Arts SuperShow and World Conference will be held April 29th- May 1st, 2005, at the Rio All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Attendees who register before February 15, 2005, will receive a free ticket to the K-1 fights that weekend.
