Have just finished reading "The Secrets of Eagle Claw Kung Fu : Ying Jow Pai" by Sifu Shum, in which he describes the 108 Locking techniques, but only details the first 30.

Can anyone tell me where i could find a source for the rest?

I have the same book and browsed through it up last night after reading your comments. I note that it is usually referred to as Northern Eagle Claw Kung Fu--I do not think there is a Southern branch so I assume this is simply to make clear that it's a Northern system.

During the time of the Ming Dynasty, a monk named Lai Chin incorporated General Ngok Fei's fighting techniques with elements of the Faan Tzi system. Faan Tzi techniques are based upon swift, open and often acrobatic movements designed to out-maneuver and dominate an opponent. The combination of Ying Jow (eagle claw) with Faan Tzi techniques yielded the system known today as Northern Eagle Claw kung fu (Ying Jow Faan Tzi Pai).

Some of the other links above refer to Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu though from their web page it appears that it is the same system. Teaching it with Tai Chi seems particularly common, even beyond how common this is for kung fu in general.

The martialarts.about.com link has a link to an article on the politics of Eagle Claw in the U.S.

It's true, I have no life! I'm glad you brought this topic up because I enjoyed flipping through the Eagle Claw book again and I too would like to see the remaining lock sets. Someone here (http://forum.kungfumagazine.com/forum/index.php?s=) might be able to help!

In a word, no. He's come up with information on just about everything here on the forum. As thaiboxer says, he's a legend.

Thanks for the kind words! I love learning about the different systems--the fact that there's always something new and surprising to me is one of the things that keeps me in the martial arts.

You might want to check out any books/tapes on Chin NA. A couple of good books are
Analysis of Shaolin Chin Na
Comprehensive Applications of Shaolin Chin Na
both are by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming
I have seen both of them at Barnes & Noble. Hope this helps.
