Question about an instructor in my area...

Where: Detroit Bujinkan Dojo in Walled Lake, MI.

This guy isn't too far from me. Any info on him? What does 12th Dan mean by Buj standards (I don't focus on rank based systems, so I don't know).

Yost is excellent, I've trained with him at a Tai Kai and, if I recall correctly, in Japan as well.
