  1. How far would you go…to defend your belief in God?

"God's NOT Dead," is an EXCELLENT movie that I highly recommend taking the entire family to go see.

Here is the movie synopsis that I copied from the movie's official website:

Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class. If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God’s existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. With almost no one in his corner, Josh wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God? Wouldn’t it just be easier just to write “God Is Dead” and put the whole incident behind him? GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions.

  2. An excerpt copied from christiantoday.com: Nelson Mandela and his faith

One of Nelson Mandela's famous quotes was also an expression of a deeply Christian idea - "until I changed myself, I could not change others". That expression of being born again, the need for internal revival before one can lead others to their own change, was just one of many expressions of faith Nelson Mandela shared throughout his life.

"No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite." ~ Long Walk to Freedom, the autobiography of Nelson Mandela

  3. Dr. Don Patton presents "Stones of Israel." The video below is an archaeological documentary of the overwhelming amount of evidence that has been discovered in Israel that reveals how historically accurate the Bible truly is:

    • Joshua's Altar on Mt. Ebal
    • Gilgal, stones from Jordan
    • Fallen walls of Jericho
    • Rahab's House
    • Balaam Inscription
    • Shilo Plateau
    • Fortified Gates of Solomon
    • Hebrew Text, Jeremiah's Time
    • Jeroboam's Altar at Dan
    • "House of David" Inscription
    • City of David: 14th C. Cuneiform Tablets; Stronghold of Zion; Administration Buildings; 51 Bullae Biblical characters; Joab's Water Shaft; Gihon Spring; Coronation Site; Pool of Melchizedek; Hezekiah's Tunnels; Tower of Siloam; Hezekiah's Walls; Tombs of David and Solomon; Pool of Siloam; Stairs - Temple to Pool; Palace of David

  4. Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." ~ Matthew 11:28 (NLT)

Posted below is a video of a song from a little known, yet beautiful album called "Pressing On." The album musically chronicles the journeys of the Apostle Paul. Taken from 1 Corinthians 13, here is "The Greatest of These," performed by Larnelle Harris:

"Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." ~ 1 Corinthians 13:7 (NLT)

Like the Apostle Paul, in our personal journey there will be hardships we must face in life; but it is faith, hope, and love that remains to encourage us to press on. " And the greatest of these is love," for if God is love, then love truly is eternal. Our faith and hopes await in expectation of the glory that is yet to come; but once it has arrived, faith and hope will be fulfilled. Yet the love we have now, and the love that awaits us, will last forever. The love that God has shown to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, provides a sense of peace that can sustain us through our most difficult trials.

Jesus said, "I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid." ~ John 14:27 (NLT)

  5. Jesus came to us at a time in history when there was no technology for communicating with others as we have today: there were no phones, no printing presses, no radios, no television, no internet. Jesus came to us at a time in history when there were no trains, planes, or automobiles. If you traveled you did it on foot, by boat, or by animal. Yet the message he was sent to deliver to us has transcended the limitations of both time and distance - reaching up through generations into the farthest corners of the world. Jesus has touched the lives of so many people that in John 21:25 of the Bible it's recorded, "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen."

What makes this message so powerful - so profound of an impact on people's lives - that after accepting it, they feel it must be shared with others?

It's because Jesus Himself is the message. God sent His message of love for us into the world through His Son Jesus Christ. He literally gave us His Word in blood that He loves us - divinity became clothed in humanity. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." ~ John 1:1-4 (NKJV) "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." ~ John 1:14 (NKJV)

True God and true man is brought together in the person of Jesus Christ. A blessed virgin gave birth to a Son which was conceived in her by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18-25). But humanity, corrupted and hardened by sin, had killed the Messiah. The Son of God was crucified, died and was buried. "And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." ~ John 1:5 (NKJV) "But God raised Him from the dead." ~ Acts 13:30 (NKJV) And later after being resurrected, He ascended to His Father in heaven (Acts 1:9-11 NKJV). For all who repent of their sins and believe in the one God sent for our salvation, their sins have died with Jesus on the day He was crucified. As Jesus was resurrected from the dead, so shall all who have placed their faith in Him be born again. And since He has ascended back into His eternal glory; so shall all who have believed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, receive the gift of eternal life.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation." ~ Romans 5:8-11 (NKJV)

God has given us a message to receive and to share - a testimony of His love and willingness to forgive us. He offers us a way to eternal life. "And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." ~ 1 John 5:11-12 (NKJV)

The reason that the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ continues to live on is because He lives.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." ~ John 3:16 (NKJV)

WTC Building #7, a 47-story high-rise not hit by an airplane, exhibited all the characteristics of classic controlled demolition with explosives:

    Rapid onset of collapse
    Sounds of explosions
    Symmetrical structural failure
Free-fall acceleration through the path of what was greatest resistance
Imploded, collapsing completely, landing almost in its own footprint
Massive volume of expanding pyroclastic-like clouds
Expert corroboration from the top European controlled demolition professional
Foreknowledge of "collapse" by media, NYPD, FDNY
In the aftermath of WTC7's destruction, strong evidence of demolition using incendiary devices was discovered:

FEMA finds rapid oxidation and intergranular melting on structural steel samples
Several tons of molten metal reported by numerous highly qualified witnesses
Chemical signature of the incendiary thermite found in solidified molten metal, and dust samples
WTC7 exhibited none of the characteristics of destruction by fire:

Slow onset with large visible deformations
Asymmetrical collapse which follows the path of least resistance (laws of conservation of momentum would cause a falling, to the side most damaged by the fires)
Evidence of fire temperatures capable of softening steel
High-rise buildings with much larger, hotter, and longer lasting fires have never collapsed

As seen in this revealing photo, the Twin Towers' destruction exhibited all of the characteristics of destruction by explosives:

Destruction proceeds through the path of greatest resistance at nearly free-fall acceleration
    Improbable symmetry of debris distribution
    Extremely rapid onset of destruction
Over 100 first responders reported explosions and flashes
    Multi-ton steel sections ejected laterally
Mid-air pulverization of 90,000 tons of concrete & metal decking
Massive volume of expanding pyroclastic-like clouds
1200-foot-diameter debris field: no "pancaked" floors found
Isolated explosive ejections 20–40 stories below demolition front
Total building destruction: dismemberment of steel frame
Several tons of molten metal found under all 3 high-rises
Evidence of thermite incendiaries found by FEMA in steel samples
Evidence of explosives found in dust samples

The three high-rises exhibited none of the characteristics of destruction by fire:

Slow onset with large visible deformations
Asymmetrical collapse which follows the path of least resistance (laws of conservation of momentum would cause a falling, intact, from the point of plane impact, to the side most damaged by the fires)
Evidence of fire temperatures capable of softening steel
High-rise buildings with much larger, hotter, and longer-lasting fires have never collapsed

"I do not know how a firefighter or EMS personnel can do their job without knowing the Lord," retired Chief Gaius Reynolds of Fellowship of Christian Firefighters explains. "It can be the most depressing times when you lose a patient, when you lose a house, when one of your own die on the scene, a line-of-duty death."
